Venue

Situated in the west of Scotland, LA Bowl, Ayr is one of Scotland’s most respected bowling centres.

Ayr is a popular seaside town on the west coast of Scotland and sits on the South West Coastal 300 route. As well as having some of the best bowling facilities, it’s a great place to relax.  It has a beautiful sandy beach which is the perfect place for a stroll, and on a clear day you can see the Isle of Arran or even the north coast of Ireland.

Group Divisions

Ladies – Teams of 4 athletes

Mens – Teams of 4 athletes

Athletes should have reached the age of 18 before the last day of arrival and must not have reached the age of 30 by the day of departures

Format

  • Singles (6 games)
  • Doubles (4 games)
  • Mixed Doubles (4 games)
  • Teams (4 games)
  • Masters (top 6 in each division)

Medals awarded for each discipline.

Points accumulated from each discipline will be counted towards Euro Nations Challenge Shields (ladies/men) and Euro Challenge Trophy (combined).

Schedule

Official Practice

Each country will have official practice for 1 hour. Each team entry fee will include 1 lane x 1hr of official practice. More lanes or extended time will be available for a booking price of £22.50 per hr / per lane.  Practice slots will be booked on a first come first served basis.

Team Manager’s Meeting

The Team Manager’s meeting will be held at the bowling centre

Proposed date/ time – Thursday 8th August at 20:30, LA Bowl, Ayr.

Playing Rules

The Tournament will be run under the general tournament and playing rules of EBF.

Victory Banquet

We’d like to welcome all supporters to the victory banquet where we promise a great night including presentation of the Euro Nations Cup, celebrating the success of the tournament.  Please encourage folks to join us!

The Victory Banquet will be held at the Fairfield House Hotel on Sunday 11th August, 19:30 til late.

Banquet tickets cost £34 per person, which includes 3 course dinner, awards presentation and disco.  We have capacity for 180 people.

Fees

The entry fee for the event is £400 per team (of four).  This includes:

  • Qualifying (18 games) and masters for top 6
  • 1 hr official practice / 1 lane per team of 4 [additional lanes / hrs available for £22.50 per lane per hr]

Banquet Tickets cost £34pp 

Spectator entry and car-parking at the venue is free.

Bank Details will be sent out following country registration.

Travel

Ayr is situated South West of Glasgow off the A77. The closest airport is Prestwick Airport (approx. 15 mins).  However, Glasgow International Airport has the best international connections (located approx. 50 mins).
